PAULA ADAMS | GPPA

With over 30 years of experience in the realm of early American and Federal-period antiques, Paula Adams brings a profound understanding of history to every estate auction and appraisal assignment. As a seasoned auctioneer and personal property appraiser, she specializes in late 18th- and early 19th-century textiles, Federal-period furniture and design, and historically significant collections.

Although her true love lies with antiques, Paula is equally qualified in the commercial asset liquidation and appraisal realm with 30 years of experience with non-residential assets. She is the  expert researcher for truly any asset that comes across the desk, and she will not stop her research until every pertinent detail has been exposed.

For nearly three decades, Paula Adams has been an active member of her local historical society, serving as president for the past 10 years. She has undertaken various roles, including archivist and costuming manager for 1800s re-enactments, and notably designed a fully functional 1810 kitchen, complete with an open hearth cooking program, to educate and immerse visitors in early American life.

Paula Adams combines hands-on historical expertise, meticulous research skills, and a passion for storytelling through objects. Whether appraising, curating, or auctioning, she ensures each piece finds its rightful place with collectors who value its provenance and craftsmanship.
